Wow, the wordpress interface has changed a bit in the last four-ish years. Here’s hoping this even works.
Anyway, I guess I’ll lay out the roadmap such as it is here: I’m really just aiming to finish the dang comic. Art will probably stay black & white unless there’s a page I really want to color, and I’ll probably be uploading once a week until I either get ahead or fall behind. Most pages will probably be at least a little higher quality than this, as I drew this like five years ago.
I’ve actually been creating things in the meantime, but really slowly and usually things like tabletop systems that I really only use with my friends. I have two other projects besides this that I’ll be releasing publicly in a couple years when one or the other gets finished, but this comic has been bugging me by just sitting there, unfinished.
I’ve cut out a second arc that didn’t really need to exist – there’s about a hundred pages left – but otherwise I’m leaving the script alone, so you can expect all of the talking heads and excessive scene jumping that you’ve come to know and love from Underling.
I always thought this was such a fascinating comic! I loved the way you played with myth, legend and religion. I loved it so much that I continued to check back from time to time for years. I finally gave up about six months ago. So I was quite surprised and delighted to see mention of your comic’s return in the comments section of another webcomic – as an example of why readers shouldn’t declare a comic dead after a silence of a mere 3 months. Thank you for returning to this story!
Welcome back. I’m sorry to hear you’ve mostly lost interest in this, but I’m glad there’ll be some resolution, at least.
Good to see this again. I look forward to seeing how the story ends.
Welcome back. Let us know what your other projects are so we can support them as well.
Only about a hundred pages left? I though we barely started …
A suggestion, you could submit the other arc as a text based summary.
Yeah, I’m debating either doing that or doing short-story-style strips after the main arc is done. I probably won’t know until I get there.
Welcome back <3
Welcome back David! We missed you!
Well, I’m glad to see it heading towards a conclusion! And welcome back!
