Lazarus

Despite having an IQ that almost rivals his ego in scale, Lazarus is an unabashed underachiever as well as an incorrigible troublemaker. Having been raised by a single foster mother in the slums of Los Angeles, Laz is resourceful, cynical, and hell-bent to fix every problem in his life in the most extravagant and least responsible way possible. Although Laz can be petty and mischievous, he seems inclined to help others, even at his own peril.

Lilitu

The lilitu are rank and file demons in service to the prince of darkness himself. Originally independent nature demons, they were assimilated into the forces of hell countless years ago. The captain of the lilitu seems to maintain her kind’s unstable and insubordinate nature. She’s cunning, cheerful, and often seems to have a better idea of what’s going on than anyone else.

Eshita

The Rakshasi are fearsome warriors and mages known for being skilled in combat as well as illusion magic. Eshita in particular is capricious, paranoid, violent, and prideful. She’s also cunning, unstable, and amazingly gifted with dozens of different weapons. Unfortunately, she’s not the brightest cat in creation, and always finds herself in over her head thanks to her reckless ambition. Why she’s on the run from her own society is currently unknown.

Mr. Crowley

Not much is known about this enigmatic human cultist. He was responsible for making sure Laz opened a portal to hell, but failed and was sucked through the portal along with him. Who knows what an earthling occultist can accomplish in a fantastic realm like this. His actual relationship to the wickedest man on earth is currently unconfirmed.

The Devil

The lightbringer. The father of lies. Captain angry pants. Although he was originally a nobody cast down into the abyss for being an arrogant jerk, the big D found his place in the spotlight not even a couple thousand years ago. Since then, he’s been rampaging throughout the otherworlds, destroying everything he can’t bring to serve him. Not someone you want to be on the bad side of. Unfortunately, his good side is also his bad side, and you’re already on it.

Rohit

Rohit is Eshita’s aspiring spouse-to-be. Or so he thinks. He seems to be an influential member of the warrior-caste within his clan, and also seems to command at least a small army. The terms of his shaky relationship with Eshita are unknown, but he certainly isn’t about to win any personality contests.
