Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. I’m sorry for disappearing for a couple months there, but I have a pretty good list of excuses for not working on this comic that stretches all the way back to November. However, all the time-consuming stuff is out of the way and I all I have right now is a fairly easy-going class schedule that will more than allow me to get some one on one time with the photoshops and get more comics out there. Friday updates begin again and I’m going to try and go up to 2-a-week like the good old days before shit started piling on.

So. I’m going to just go ahead and take the end of the holiday off. Updates will resume on the 6th of January. My course load next semester is still a bit heavy, but it’s not as bad as what I’ve been doing and hopefully I’ll be able to get serious about this. I still love working on Underling and I’m still learning a lot from it, but I really just haven’t had the time or the spirit to go ahead with it lately. Sorry, and enjoy the rest of 2011!

Sorry about disappearing for a couple weeks without warning, shit gettin’ crazy up in here. On the plus side, three more weeks until I am finally out of this hell semester.

Happy Armistice Day, everyone! After the horrors of WW1 it’s no wonder we decided to commemorate it’s conclusion with a holiday. Now humanity will never forget the evils of war and will seek diplomatic solutions even in the worst of times.

On a way less sardonic note, tons of thanks to everyone who showed up at IGG Marathon! We raised almost 7k for sick kids and had a bunch of awesome indie game developer interviews and free game giveaways. I literally played video games until the lack of sleep and food destroyed my immune system and now I am basically too sick to move. I’m going to go get some more chicken soup and do some homework. Have a nice holiday!

Haha terrible puns. The other title I was thinking about using was ‘Tied Up Like Wonder Woman in the 50s’ but I don’t know who’d even get that.

Oh! Very important! You might have noticed I’m working on this charity project called Indie Games for Good. It’s part of the reason I’ve been terrible at updating over the last month. For this event, we play independently developed video games – and maybe a card game or two! – and raise money for Child’s Play. It’s totally win-win. We’re also going to have interviews with developers(like the creators of Flower, Jamestown, I Wanna Be the Guy, and much more!) Even more – we’ll be giving out a lot of free game codes, special packages, and other things during the stream. It all starts at 11am pacific today! That’s around the time a lot of you will be reading this, so definitely come and check it out!

Also, you might have noticed that ad if you don’t have adblock. I’ll be personally participating in the Indie Games for Good Marathon early next November. It’s independent advertisement for wonderfully innovative indie games and also all the money goes straight to Child’s Play. So ya know, it would be a cool thing to donate to or watch!
